Klaus Remkes (born December 13, 1955 in Munich ) is a German goldsmith and politician ( BIW , previously FDP , AfD , ALFA / LKR ). He was elected as a member of the Bremen Citizenship in the 2015 state election for the AfD .

biography

Family, education and work

After graduating from high school, Remkes first learned a goldsmith and watchmaker . He later completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman .

Remkes is married and has two children. He lives in Bremen-Mitte .

politics

Remkes was initially an FDP member in the Bremen State Association and joined the AfD Bremen in 2014 . He was elected to the Bremen citizenship in 2015.

In July 2015 he left the party after the AfD federal party conference in Essen and in the same month joined the newly founded party Alliance for Progress and Awakening . In the citizenry he belonged initially to the group LKR-Gruppe-Bremen , which in the meantime had the names Bremer Bürgerliche Reformer and ALFA-Gruppe-Bremen and before that was the group of the AfD. On June 12, 2017, together with Piet Leidreiter , he declared his conversion to the citizens in anger .

In the general election in Bremen in 2019 , he lost his mandate.
