Christian Schimmel (born September 13, 1992 ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a striker . Until 2010 he played in the U-19 youth team of SK Austria Kärnten , as well as with their amateur team in the fourth-class Carinthian regional league and in their professional team with play in the Austrian Bundesliga . From June 2013 Schimmel will play at ASKÖ Köttmannsdorf .

Career

Schimmel began his active career as a soccer player in mid-June 2000 in the Carinthian municipality of Ebenthal at SC Ebental, which is located there . With the club's offspring, he went through various youth league classes before he was transferred to the cooperation club FC Kärnten for the first time in July 2006 , where he was henceforth active in the youth department. After the FC Kärnten got into more and more financial difficulties in addition to the sporting end, it had to hand over its youth academy and almost all youth players to the newly constituted SK Austria Kärnten .

After the transition to Austria Kärnten, Schimmel played there for several seasons in the various youth teams. In the 2007/08 season he was able to record 25 goals in 32 missions, when his scoring risk decreased significantly in the 2008/09 season when he scored five goals in 22 games. In the 2009/10 season, the trained striker is still active in the offspring of SK Austria Kärnten. Currently (April 2010) he plays with the U-19 team in the Toto- sponsored U-19 youth league and has scored three goals in seven appearances in the same season.

Club career

Schimmel's club career began when he was brought into the amateur team of SK Austria Kärnten in 2010, which plays in the fourth-class Carinthian regional league . He made his team debut there on March 21, 2010, when he was on the pitch in the 2-1 home win over SVG Bleiburg and was replaced in the 83rd minute of the game by Martin Tschernuth, who was around two months older. In his only third team appearance, he scored the only goal for his team in a 3-1 home defeat against SV Feldkirchen in the 33rd minute of the game. This encounter was also the first in which he was on the pitch for the entire duration of the game.

Just two days later, Schimmel made his Bundesliga debut in the 1-0 away defeat against SK Rapid Wien , when he was substituted on for Croat Goran Aleksić in the 87th minute . In addition to the 17-year-old, some other youth players from the club sat on the bench.

From June 20, 2010, he became a player in the “new” SK Austria Klagenfurt , with which he was registered until January 31, 2011. For a short time (until June 2011) he was with the then lower division club ASKÖ Köttmannsdorf , then he was again with SK Austria Klagenfurt , u. between March 8, 2012. Subsequently, the message was for SC St. Stefan / Lavanttal , this until June 2013.
