Christian Thomas (athlete)

Christian Thomas (born March 31, 1965 ) is a former German long jumper .

In 1987 he won bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Liévin and came 15th at the World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis . In 1990 he was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow and twelfth at the European Championships in Split .

At the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 , he was eliminated from the qualification.

In 1988 and 1989 he was German runner-up. In the hall he was three times German champion (1987, 1989, 1993) and twice runner-up (1985, 1990). He won his only German open-air championship title in 1994 with the 4 x 100 meter relay of TV Heppenheim.

Christian Thomas initially started for LG Ahlen / Hamm and switched to TV Heppenheim in 1987 .
