Christian Chelebiev

Christian Tschelebiew (* 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German opera, operetta and concert singer in the ( bass baritone ).

Life

Christian Tschelebiew studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart with Wayne Long and Robert Hiller . He was a member of the ensemble at the Komische Oper Berlin , the Staatstheater Mainz as well as in Erfurt and Giessen . Guest contracts have taken the bassist to the state theaters of his home country as well as Wiesbaden , Darmstadt and Hanover , to the Mannheim National Theater , to the opera houses of Genoa, Catania, Reykjavík, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Münster, Hagen, as well as to the Ludwigsburg Festival and Schleswig -Holstein Festival , the Menuhin Festival Gstaad and the European Music Festival Stuttgart. He worked with directors such as Harry Kupfer , Peter Konwitschny , Willy Decker and Andreas Homoki and with conductors such as Michail Jurowski , Kirill Petrenko , Jonathan Nott and Wilhelm Keitel . He is also the singer and guitarist of the band Horseville Rangers .

Since the 2007/08 season he has been a member of the ensemble at Theater Augsburg .

On July 25, 2010 he made his debut at the Bayreuth Festival in the production of Lohengrin .
