Christian Tschurtschenthaler

Christian Tschurtschenthaler (born December 21, 1958 in Bruneck ) is an Italian politician of the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP).

biography

Christian Tschurtschenthaler graduated from the commercial school in Bruneck. He then studied textile industry in Nagold in the Black Forest . After graduating as a textile business economist, he joined his parents' fashion business. Tschurtschenthaler was merchant president of the Pustertal district for eleven years . Between 1995 and 2000 he was Deputy Mayor of the City of Bruneck and from 2000 to 2013 Mayor. In the state elections in 2013 , he won a mandate for the South Tyrolean state parliament and, at the same time, the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol with 8,229 preferential votes . In the run-up to the state elections in 2018 , Tschurtschenthaler decided not to run again and subsequently withdrew from active politics.
