Christian Vicente Noel

Christian Vicente F. Noel (born November 17, 1937 in Asturias ; † November 26, 2017 ) was a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Talibon .


Christian Vicente F. Noel was ordained a priest on March 19, 1961 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop in Cagayan de Oro and Titular Bishop of Thuccabora on October 1, 1981 . The Archbishop of Cebu , Julio Cardinal Rosales y Ras , ordained him episcopal on November 30th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Patrick H. Cronin SSCME , Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro, and Teofilo Camomot Bastida , emeritus coadjutor archbishop of Cagayan de Oro.

On September 6, 1986 he was appointed by John Paul II as the first bishop of the diocese of Talibon established at the beginning of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 3, 2014.
