Christian Weis (writer)

Christian Weis (born November 5, 1966 in Würzburg ; † July 6, 2017 in Retzbach (Zellingen) ) was a German writer who mainly published texts from the fields of science fiction and fantasy , but also contributed to thrillers and horror .

Life

Christian Weis lived in the north of Bavaria. After graduating from high school, he completed education and training in the public service. His stories have been published in magazines (including Corona Magazine , c't , Exodus , Against Infinite , Nova , phantastisch!, Zwielicht) and anthologies (including Edition Solar-X, Eloy Edictions, p.machinery, Wurdack-Verlag ) .

In 2013 Bastei Lübbe published his short novel Tief unter der Stadt in the Horror Factory series.
Christian Weis was one of the regular authors of the BiomAlpha series launched by Uwe Post . At the German Science Fiction Prize 2010, his story Creation Liberalism won 3rd place. In the Corona story competition 2006 and 2007, his stories took third and first place, respectively.

In 2017 Christian Weis succumbed to cancer.
