LEDA / PGC 41578 (also NGC 4517A ) is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type SBdm in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 64 million light years from the Milky Way and around 80,000 light years in diameter.
Together with NGC 4517 , it forms the isolated galaxy pair KPG 344 . In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 4541 .
