Christiane Arp (born May 11, 1961 in Stinstedt ) is a German journalist .

Life

Arp grew up in the country and went to Hamburg after graduating from high school . There she studied at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a graduate fashion designer. During her studies, she did an internship at the knitting magazine Nicole and worked as a journalist. She worked for magazines like Brigitte and Viva! . At Für Sie she headed the fashion department; She was Head of Fashion at Amica and Head of Fashion at Stern .

In 2002, Angelica Blechschmidt brought her to the German Vogue as deputy editor-in-chief and was also fashion director . Since March 2003 she has been the editor-in-chief.

Trivia

According to Christiane Arp, “fashion can be incredibly political”. Because on the one hand it is used again and again to spread political messages, and on the other hand it leaves the freedom to choose expensive designer clothes or to maintain a much cheaper individual style at any time.
