Christiane Carstens (* 1958 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

life and career

At the age of 16 she was discovered on the street by director Roger Fritz for the NDR series Motiv Liebe and invited to a casting at Studio Hamburg. She got the role. Just one year later (1975) she played her first film role in The Knife in the Back of Ottokar Runze .

She then completed her acting training at the renowned Freese drama school in Hamburg. At the age of 20 she received her acting diploma and then appeared in many theaters all over Germany. So she played z. B. at the GRIPS theater and the collective theater in Berlin, the Thalia and the Klecks Theater in Hamburg and in the Comödie in Bochum.

In the following years the actress was seen in numerous TV productions, films and series. In addition to her work as an actress, Christiane Carstens also works as a radio play and audio book speaker as well as an author and director. In addition, she has made a name for herself as a coach for children and young actors in recent years. She is co-organizer of the youth media festival REC for Kids in Berlin.
