Christiane Padé

Christiane Elisabeth Padé (* 1975 in Karlsruhe ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Live and act

Padé studied law at the University of Heidelberg from 1993 . After a stay abroad at the University of Leuven , she passed her first state examination in law in 1998 in Heidelberg. She then worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg. She also completed a master's degree at the Russian Academy of Sciences , which she graduated in 1999 as Magistra prawa po spezialnosti jurisprudenzija . She then returned to Germany and devoted herself to her doctorate. In 2001 Padé was awarded a doctorate by Rüdiger Wolfrum from the University of Heidelberg. iur. PhD.

In 2002 she passed her second state examination and joined the judicial service of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate . There she was initially employed at the Trier Social Court . After a secondment as a research assistant to the Federal Social Court from 2004 to 2007, she switched to the judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg , where she was initially employed at the Social Court in Karlsruhe . In 2009 she moved to the Social Court in Freiburg . From July 2012 to June 2013 she was seconded to the State Social Court of Baden-Württemberg . In 2018 she was appointed judge at the regional social court. In the same year Padé was elected judge at the Federal Social Court. It was assigned to the 12th Senate, which was primarily responsible for the law on contributions and membership of health insurance, long-term care insurance, pension insurance and unemployment insurance law.

In addition, she published several scientific articles, especially on social security law .

Padé is married and has two children.
