Christiansen was a Danish manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Hans Christian Christiansen (* 1876; † 1918) ran a bicycle repair shop in Copenhagen since 1896 . In 1899 he started producing automobiles. Production in this company ended in 1901. Hans C. Christiansen and AE Fonnesbech-Wulff founded the Dansk Automobil & Cyclefabrik on February 25, 1901 .

The first model, and at the same time the only model of which several copies were made, was a tricycle with a tubular frame, with the individual wheel at the rear. A built-in motor from Cudell provided the drive . The single cylinder engine had 4.5 hp .

A prototype with four wheels followed shortly afterwards , which has been preserved. The single cylinder engine had a displacement of 567 cm³ . The vehicle with the body shape vis-à-vis offers space for four people.

Vehicles of this brand can be seen in the Danmarks Tekniske Museum in Helsingør and in the Autoseum in Simrishamn .
