De forenede Automobilfabriker A / S was a Danish manufacturer of motor vehicles and railcars .

Company history

In 1918 Anglo-Dane , Jan and Thrige merged to form the new company . The company headquarters was in Odense . The production of commercial vehicles from Thrige continued. A few cars were built. The brand name was triangle . Car production ended in 1927 and commercial vehicle production ended in 1950. The company also imported and sold vehicles from Austin Motor Company , Fiat , FN and Studebaker Corporation .

Car

A touring car with four seats from 1927 has survived. In addition, a six-seater touring car based on the chassis of a bus took part in the long-distance journey from Rome to Copenhagen in 1927 . It had the Danish registration number M 7511 .

commercial vehicles

Trucks and buses were on offer . The first models had engines from Leyland Motors . The trucks had payloads from 2 tons to 5 tons. In 1930, front-link models were introduced. From 1936 had diesel engine of Hercules available. In 1949 the last model appeared with a payload of 5.3 tons.

Triangle railcar

The company manufactured railcars for the railway sector under the name of Triangle . After test drives in 1921/22, the first serial petrol railcars were delivered to private railways in 1923. From 1925 the Danske Statsbaner was supplied with the series vehicles of the MA series , further vehicles followed.
