EB Replicar was a Danish manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from Vedbæk manufactured automobiles under the direction of Bugatti expert Erik Koux in the 1980s . The brand name was Replicar . In total, only a few copies were made. Other sources name a prototype and six production vehicles or five vehicles.

vehicles

The vehicles were replicas of the Bugatti T 57 S Atlantic . Only three copies of the original were made. Koux based himself specifically on the vehicle with the chassis number 57.591, which now belongs to Ralph Lauren . The coupé body offered space for two people. The body of the prototype was made of plastic . A six-cylinder engine from Jaguar or Alfa Romeo provided the drive .

Koux reproduced the chassis for the series vehicles. The engine, gearbox and axles came from standard Bugatti Type 57s that were cannibalized a long time ago.

A vehicle from this series has been owned by Volkswagen AG since 1999 .
