Christina I. (Gandersheim)

Christina (I.) (* before 896; † April 1, 919 ) was the successor of her sisters Hathumod and Gerberga, the third abbess of the Gandersheim canonical monastery .

Christina was the youngest daughter of the founder's founder Liudolf and his wife Oda . She took over the office of abbess in 896 or 897 as the direct successor to her sister Gerberga. Their benediction was made by Bishop Wigbert von Hildesheim . Her abbatiat lasted from 896/97 to 919.

Her exact life dates are unknown, she died on April 1st (probably 919).
