Christine Langer
Christine Langer (born October 24, 1966 in Ulm ) is a German writer .
Life
At her father's request, Christine Langer completed a commercial apprenticeship. Then she worked in various professions. Since the beginning of 2000 she has worked in a neurological-psychiatric doctor's practice. From 1997 to 2010 she headed the Ulm Authors Association 81 , and from 2004 to 2007 she was the spokesperson for the Federal Association of Young Authors (BVjA). Since 2000 she has been a literary critic with a focus on poetry . In 1999 she was appointed to the editorial team of the BVjA published literary magazine concepts . She has been its editor-in-chief since 2003. Since 2013 she has been a juror for the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg . Christine Langer lives near Ulm.

Christine Langer primarily writes poetry that has been published in various anthologies, magazines and newspapers (including Der große Conrady, Jahrbuch der Lyrik, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ). She made her debut in 2000 with the band staircase. Poetry and short prose . Her poems have been set to music several times (including by orchestras from Linz , Bratislava , Bucharest ) and have been translated into French, Italian, English and Romanian. Regarding Christine Langer's poems: “If there is something exemplary in these poems, then it is not so much the brevity, but a fragile balance of sounds and images in carefully composed word structures. These are texts that demonstrate a high school of poetic still life, of brittle, often broken rhythms, but still full of music. ”Regarding her latest volume, Körperalphabet , Wulf Kirsten writes :“ An elementary, primed moment is sufficient for her, which she can lift gently and gently put in a limbo state. An inconspicuous occasion is enough for her to compress in such a way that contrasting twists create a closed work of art in miniature. She succeeds in creating her own unused language with no effort. "
