Christine Mallo

Christine Mallo (born February 26, 1966 in Orléans ) is a former French long-distance runner who specialized in the marathon distance .

Career

In 1995 Mallo won the French championships held as part of the Lille Half Marathon . At the World Half Marathon Championships in Palma de Mallorca in 1996 , she finished sixth and secured the silver medal in the national ranking with the French team. In the same year she was tenth in the Paris Marathon and fifth in the New York City Marathon . In 1997 she took part in the World Athletics Championships in Athens and finished the local marathon in 14th place.

At the World Cross Country Championships in Marrakech in 1998 , Mallo finished 43rd in the endurance race. In the same year she was sixteenth in the marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Budapest and won the Lisbon Marathon . In 1999 she finished fourth in the Rotterdam Marathon with a personal best of 2:31:49 hours and fifth there the following year. At the French Marathon Championships in Reims, she finished second behind Chantal Dällenbach . Also in 2001 in Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou, she only had to admit defeat to Dällenbach in the national championships. At Mont-Saint-Michel Marathon was 2004 Third.
