Christine Wenzel
Christine Wenzel , b. Brinker , (born July 10, 1981 in Ibbenbüren ) is a German sports shooter . She belongs to the national squad of the German Shooting Association in the target shooting discipline .
Career
Brinker began shooting sports in 2000. She was inspired by her boyfriend and later husband Tino Wenzel , who is now also in the national team.
The greatest success of her career was winning gold at the World Championships in September 2007 in Nicosia . Two months earlier she had won the silver medal at the European Championships in Granada . In 2008 she was again in Nicosia third at the European Championships and made her debut at the Olympic Games in Beijing , where she won the bronze medal.
As a sports soldier, she is a member of the German Armed Forces and trains under the guidance of Wilhelm Metelmann at the SSC bowl .
