Christo Barsanow (born August 19, 1956 in Gowedarzi ) is a former Bulgarian cross-country skier .

Career

Barsanow appeared internationally for the first time at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in February 1976 . There he finished 60th place over 15 km, 53rd place over 30 km and 14th place with the relay. In the 1977/78 season he won second place over 30 km in Castelrotto and won the silver medal over 15 km behind Ivan Lebanow at the 1978 Winter Universiade in Špindlerův Mlýn . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 , he came in 22nd place over 30 km and 21st place over 15 km. In February 1980 he finished at the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid 38th place over 15 km and 23rd place over 30 km. He completed his last international race at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . There he ran on the 53rd place over 30 km and together with Swetoslaw Atanassow , Atanas Simidtschiew and Milusch Ivanchev on the tenth place in the relay.
