Christof E. Ehrhart

Christof E. Ehrhart (* 1966 in Saarbrücken ) is a German manager and honorary professor for international corporate communications at the University of Leipzig . He has been Executive Vice President Communications & Governmental Affairs at Robert Bosch GmbH since 2019 .

Life

Christof E. Ehrhart grew up in Saarbrücken. He studied political science , economic and social history and modern German literature at Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at the University of Wales , College of Cardiff , and then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at Saarland University and as a freelance television journalist.

In 1995 Ehrhart began working in communications management at Bertelsmann , where he worked as Vice President Public Relations at AOL Bertelsmann Europe, a pan-European Internet online service, and as Vice President Corporate Communications, Product Management and Event Marketing at BOL, the Bertelsmann's international electronic commerce business had an impact.

In 1997 he received his doctorate in political science at Saarland University on the subject of the transformation of political systems .

From 2004 to 2006 he headed the corporate communications department of the pharmaceutical company Schering AG , before he was Corporate Vice President responsible for global corporate communications for the listed aerospace company EADS (now Airbus Group ) from 2007 to 2008 .

In 2009 he moved to Deutsche Post DHL Group. There he was responsible for communication and sustainability of the logistics and mail service provider worldwide until 2018. From 2009 to 2013 Ehrhart was founding chairman of the board of trustees of Quadriga University for Applied Sciences, Berlin.

Ehrhart has been Head of Corporate Communications, External Relations and Brand Management at the technology and service company Robert Bosch GmbH since 2019. In his position, Ehrhart is responsible for the company's global internal and external communication, relations with politics, associations and interest groups, sustainability management and brand management.

Ehrhart is also a lecturer at the "Institute for Communication and Media Studies" at the University of Leipzig , where he was appointed honorary professor for international corporate communications in January 2013 . He had previously held teaching positions for international corporate communication and strategic communication management at the Free University of Berlin and at the University of Zurich . Ehrhart publishes articles on corporate communication and has been featured in a regular column in the magazine for communication managers (KomMa) since 2015 .

Ehrhart is a participant in the Baden-Baden Entrepreneur Talks, a member of the German Association of Journalists , the German Association for Political Science , a founding member of the Federal Association of German Press Spokesmen and a member of the Arthur W. Page Society .

He is married and has two children.

honors and awards

  • In 2006 the Saarland state government appointed him Saarland ambassador.
  • In 2016 the World Economic Forum (WEF) appointed him a member of its “Global Future Council on the Humanitarian System”.
  • In 2017, the "Deutsche Image Award" was presented to the CEO of Deutsche Post AG, Frank Appel, and the head of corporate communications, Christof Ehrhart.
  • In 2018 Christof E. Ehrhart received the award "PR Manager of the Year 2017" from prmagazin for the continuous development and expansion of the corporate image of the Deutsche Post DHL Group.
