Christoph Bechteler (* 1935 in Berlin ) is a freelance metal sculptor .

Christoph Bechteler was born in 1935 as the son of Theo Bechteler in Berlin. He lived in Immenstadt from 1943 and did an engine construction apprenticeship, which he completed with an examination in Berlin. Until 1959 he worked as a toolmaker in Immenstadt and Augsburg . From 1959 to 1962 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (with Heinrich Kirchner ), later he studied at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg with Gustav Seitz . Since 1966 he has lived as a freelance metal sculptor in Augsburg.
