Christoph Dengel (born January 20, 1974 ) is a German football player .
Career
Dengel grew up in the Kaiserslautern district of Mölschbach and started playing football in the E-youth at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . With 1. FCK he won the German A-Youth Championship in 1992 . In the 5-1 final win against 1. FC Köln , he scored three goals. Already in 1991 Dengel had been standing with his team in the final, but there with 1: 4 against VfB Stuttgart lost. Also in this game he scored a goal, which meant the interim 1-0 lead.
He finally made it to the Bundesliga team via the youth teams and the amateur team . He had his first Bundesliga appearance on November 25, 1995 in the game against SC Freiburg . However, he only made two appearances before moving to Fortuna Cologne in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1996 . In the year of his departure, he was able to celebrate victory in the DFB Cup with Kaiserslautern without commitment .
In Cologne he was used more regularly, but in 1998 he moved to the Regionalliga West / Südwest for Wuppertaler SV Borussia . After only one year he moved on to Lübeck, where he was used for VfB in the Regionalliga Nord . In Lübeck he played in the first round of the DFB Cup against SV Waldhof Mannheim for the first time in this competition and scored the 2-2 equalizer in the 102nd minute of extra time, which led to a penalty shoot-out that Lübeck was finally able to win.
He then played in the major league for FK Pirmasens , FC 08 Homburg and again in Pirmasens, where he was promoted to the Regionalliga Süd in 2006. After a year in the regional league, he moved to SC Hauenstein in 2007 and thus back to the top division. In 2009 he moved to the lower class TuS Jettenbach in the district class , where he worked as a player coach until 2012. The 38-year-old also moved from Jettenbach as a player-coach to SV Schopp . From 2014 he was player-coach at SV Mölschbach (B-class). In 2016 he decided to take a break from football and ended his job in Kaiserslautern-Mölschbach.
