Christoph Dittrich

Christoph Dittrich (* 1966 in Dresden ) is a German musician. He is general manager of the Chemnitz City Theater .

Life

Christoph Dittrich's father Claus Dittrich was President of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts , Brother Jörg Dittrich became President in 2012. Christoph Dittrich received training in instrumental, vocal and choral conducting during his school days . From 1986 to 1991 he studied tuba , singing , music education and musicology at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden and took chamber music lessons in the master class of Professor Ludwig Güttler .

In 1987 Dittrich founded the brass ensemble Dresden Brass Quintet, with which it has given numerous concerts, festival appearances and CD recordings.

From 1991 to 2002 Dittrich was a musician and dramaturgical employee of the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen , then until 2013 artistic director and managing director of the orchestra, which was then renamed the Neue Elbland Philharmonie . He gave guest lectures at the Technical University of Dresden and the Dresden International University . In 2013 he became general manager of the Städtische Theater Chemnitz gGmbH . In 2016, his contract was extended to 2023.

Christoph Dittrich is a member of the Saxony Regional Association of the German Stage Association and the Saxon Cultural Senate .
