Jörg Dittrich (born August 1, 1969 in Dresden ) is a German entrepreneur and has been President of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts since 2012 .

Life

Jörg Dittrich is the son of Claus Dittrich , former president of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts. Brother Christoph Dittrich is a studied musician and has been General Director of the Chemnitz Theater since 2013 .

Jörg Dittrich completed an apprenticeship as a roofer . In 1995 he successfully passed the master craftsman's examination in the roofing trade. In the same year he completed an extra-occupational distance learning course to become a graduate engineer (FH) for structural engineering at the Zittau University of Applied Sciences . Dittrich completed further training as a wood protection expert in 2000. As part of a doctoral procedure mediated by the European Institute for Postgraduate Education (EIPOS) based at the Technical University of Dresden , he received his doctorate in 2008 at the Technical University of Košice with the dissertation Influence of private companies on strategic innovation management in the EU in the subject of business administration . There is no objective evidence of the doctorate.

Dittrich has been running the fourth generation of the family business, master roofer Claus Dittrich GmbH & Co. KG, which was founded in 1905. The company, which is based in the Trachau district of Dresden , has a branch in Berlin and employs 50 people in the roofing, roof plumbing, carpentry and drywall trades.

In 1998, together with a Polish partner, he founded the company Mirski + Dittrich in Breslau , which mainly carries out roof and facade work in Poland. In addition, Dittrich founded Dittrich Bau GmbH in 2001 with the offer of complete renovation and in 2014 DDB Dachgrünung GmbH, which is mainly active in roof and facade greening, both with headquarters in Dresden.

Jörg Dittrich is a Protestant Christian, married and has five children.

Volunteering

In 2012 Jörg Dittrich was elected President of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts. He thus became the immediate successor of his father.

Dittrich has been a member of the executive committee of the Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks e. V.

Since 2011 he has been a member of the board of directors of the IKK classic health insurance company and, since 2013, a member of the supervisory board of Signal Iduna Allgemeine Versicherung AG, which is part of the Signal Iduna group.

Dittrich has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bürgschaftsbank Sachsen since 2013.

As honorary consul and head of the Hungarian consular mission in the Free State of Saxony, Dittrich has been a member of the Diplomatic Corps since 2014.

Dittrich has been a member of the board of the volleyball department of the Dresden sports club since 2007 . In 2010 he took over the chairmanship of the board. During his tenure, the Bundesliga women's team took part in the Champions League from 2011 to 2017, and in 2014, 2015 and 2016 they became German champions. Dittrich is involved in the board of trustees of the Dresdner Kinder-Hilfe e. V. and in the Rotary Club Dresden-Blaues Wunder.
