Christoph Friedrich von der Osten (born September 6, 1714 in Witzmitz , † July 27, 1777 in Witzmitz ) was the district administrator of the Osten- and Blücherschen district in Western Pomerania .

He came from the noble family von der Osten and was the eldest son of Carl Curt von der Osten (1672-1724), district administrator of the Osten- and Blücherschen district, and his wife Dorothea Margarethe , born von Maltzahn .

Career

Christoph Friedrich von der Osten studied law , first from 1728 at the University of Rostock and then from 1733 at the University of Halle .

As early as 1733 he became district administrator of the Osten and Blücherschen district . He held this office until his death in 1777. His successor in office was Friedrich Wilhelm von der Osten .

Of the estates of his father, Christoph Friedrich von der Osten was assigned to Witzmitz B with the associated estates Wisbow B and Geiglitz B as well as part of Pinnow in 1742 through a fraternal comparison of inheritance . In 1764 he won the rest of Pinnow, which had got into hands outside the family, for himself through a legal battle. He also received the Ostenschen share from Reselkow in 1742 , but sold it again in 1744.

Christoph Friedrich von der Osten was married to Ilsabe Dorothea , a born von der Osten , for the first time. After her death, he married Barbara Helena , born von Brüsewitz , for the second time . He had two sons. His goods came to his widow after his death.
