Carl Curt from the East

Carl Curt von der Osten , also Carl von der Osten , (* 1672 ; † 1724 ) was district administrator of the Osten- and Blücherschen district in Western Pomerania .

Life

He came from the noble family von der Osten and was heir to the Karstorf , Woldenburg , Witzmitz and Stölitz estates . His father Heinrich Adam von der Osten (1626–1682) was Quartermaster General in the service of Kurbrandenburg. His mother Ursula was born von Heydebreck . One of his siblings was Friedrich Alexander (1668–1736), who became Prussian minister and chamber president.

Carl Curt von der Osten joined the Württemberg Army , in which he rose to become captain .

In 1713 he became district administrator of the Osten- and Blücherschen district in Western Pomerania.

He was married to Dorothea Margarethe, born von Maltzahn . His son Christoph Friedrich later also became district administrator of the Osten- and Blücherschen district.
