Christoph Görtz

Christoph Gotthard Görtz (born November 2, 1812 in Groß-Hundorf , † December 22, 1889 in Lübeck ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Görtz attended high school in Lübeck from 1831 to 1834. From 1834 to 1839 he studied law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel , the University of Jena and the University of Rostock . He became a member of the Corps Franconia Kiel and Thuringia Jena . After that he was a lawyer until 1864 , then a judge in Lübeck. In 1867 he was appointed director of the lower court, which he remained until his retirement in 1879.

Between 1863 and 1881 he was a member of the citizenship in Lübeck and in 1867 a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation . From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Lübeck constituency and the German Progressive Party .
