Christoph Gregor Müller
Christoph Gregor Müller (born April 24, 1963 in Fulda ) is a German clergyman and Roman Catholic theologian . He was Rector of the Fulda Faculty of Theology from 2008 to 2012 and again since 2016 .
Life
Christoph Gregor Müller studied Catholic theology in Fulda and Munich. In 1988 he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Johannes Dyba . From 1989 to 1990 he was chaplain in the parish Herz Mariae in Kassel-Harleshausen. In addition to his work as a school priest and religion teacher at the Marienschule in Fulda, he was born in Fulda in 1994 with the work of God's planting - God's building - God's temple: the metaphorical dimension of Pauline community theology in 1. Cor. 3,5-17 to Dr. theol. PhD . In 2001 he completed his habilitation in Würzburg with the text More than a prophet: the character drawing of John the Baptist in the Lukan narrative .
After teaching at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg (2001-2004) and the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster (2001) as well as at the Philosophical-Theological University of St. Georgen in Frankfurt am Main (2001-2004), he took over in 2004/05 a replacement professor for the New Testament and its didactics at the University of Paderborn . In 2004 he was appointed full public professor for exegesis of the New Testament at the theological faculty in Paderborn . In 2006 he was appointed full professor for New Testament Exegesis, New Testament Introductory Studies and Biblical Greek in Fulda. In 2007/08 he was Vice-Rector and in 2008 he was elected Rector of the Theological Faculty of Fulda and confirmed in 2010. In 2012 he handed over the office to Bernd Willmes . In 2016 he was again elected as rector of the Fulda theological faculty.
In 1997 he was appointed Knight of the Papal Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Carlo Furno and invested on October 4, 1997 by Anton Schlembach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was the prior of the Commandery "Hrabanus Maurus" Fulda and was the spiritual ceremonial officer of the German Lieutenancy of the Order of Knights. He is prior of the order province of Rhein-Main.
Since 2004 he has been a member of the “Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas”. He has published numerous works on New Testament exegesis and has been editor of the "Biblical Journal" since 2013
