Christoph Schickhardt
Christoph Schickhardt (born March 14, 1955 in Essen ) is a German lawyer who mainly works in the fields of professional sports law and competition law. He was involved in the negotiations in more than 800 cases before the sports court of the German Football Association .
Life
Christoph Schickhardt studied at the University of Tübingen and during this time completed an internship with the Stuttgarter Nachrichten .
He has been admitted to the bar since 1983 . His clients include Hertha BSC and numerous professional athletes from the Bundesliga . He also made a name for himself in various licensing procedures in which he prevented the withdrawal of the license for Bundesliga clubs such as Hertha BSC (1991), VfL Wolfsburg (1993), Eintracht Frankfurt (2002) and 1. FC Kaiserslautern (2003). On the other hand, he could not prevent the withdrawal of his license at Dynamo Dresden (1995) and the Offenbacher Kickers (2013) and the relegation of Hertha BSC (2012). On June 4, 2018, he also successfully represented the interests of KFC Uerdingen in the admission complaints committee of the German Football Association and obtained a final license for the 3rd division . He also advises the sporting goods manufacturer Nike Germany and the sports sponsor Red Bull .
Schickhardt has been honorary professor at Heilbronn University since November 2013 .
Schickhardt played football at SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg up to the A-youth . He is a member of the fraternity A. V. Virtembergia in Tübingen .
