Christoph Sietzen

Christoph Sietzen (born September 11, 1992 in Salzburg , Austria ) is a marimba player from Luxembourg . Since 2014 he has been a lecturer in marimba and percussion at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna .

Career

Christoph Sietzen made his debut at the Salzburg Festival at the age of twelve . At the age of 22 he began to teach at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . In April 2015 Christoph Sietzen was honored for his outstanding achievements by the Upper Austrian Governor Josef Pühringer , he is also a prize winner of the ARD international music competition and the Rising Star of the European Concert Hall Organization .

Sietzen is an endorser of the Dutch instrument maker Adams Musical Instruments . The composer Alexander Müllenbach (Luxembourg / Austria) dedicated a work to him.
