The music for the film Vaiana - The Paradise Has a Hook was composed and partly recorded by Opetaia Foa'i , Mark Mancina and Lin-Manuel Miranda . The partially translated songs are sung in the original German film soundtrack by Andreas Bourani , Helene Fischer , Thomas Amper , Debby van Dooren , Louis Leibfried , Tommy Morgenstern , Manuel Straube and Marion Martienzen . Bourani had also received a speaking role in the film and dubbed the demigod Maui in it.
In the German version, Fischer sings the title song that can be heard in the credits of the film. Fischer sang the song I'm ready for the first time publicly on December 5, 2016 in Düsseldorf as part of the recording of the Helene Fischer Show .

The soundtrack is 77 minutes long, comprises 41 songs and was released on December 16, 2016 by Walt Disney Records . Disney Germany published the songs Volljoy (in the original soundtrack You're Welcome ) and Ich binready (in the original soundtrack How Far I ' ) on YouTube in November and early December 2016 in advance of the premiere of the film and the release of the soundtrack ll Go ), sung by Andreas Bourani and Helene Fischer.
Reception and chart success
The gala describes I am ready by Helene Fischer as a “wonderful wanderlust hymn”. The song, this is noticeable in the first stanza, is said to have been made for fishermen, as they sing of longing, wanderlust and optimism. Franz Rohleder and Sophie Lobenhofer from Münchner Merkur believe that Helene Fischer succeeds in giving the song a personal touch, but they also capture the special mood of the film.
In Germany, the soundtrack landed at number 78 in the 2017 album charts.
