Christoph Stark (born April 12, 1980 in Oberstdorf ) is a former German freestyle skier in the mogul slope discipline .

Christoph Stark lives in Bad Hindelang and started for the Tiefenbach Ski Club . In February 1998 he contested his first race in the European Cup in Airolo . He remained active in this competition until December 2000 , when he was able to take part in a Freestyle Skiing World Cup race in Tignes for the first time and, as 22nd, immediately win World Cup points. A little later he appeared in Whistler for the first time at an international championship, the 2001 World Championships , and was 19th and 33rd of the parallel competition. At the last race of the 2001/02 season in Ruka , Stark was only 11th and missed a first position in the top ten by just one place. The next major event was the 2003 Freestyle Skiing World Championship in Deer Valley . Again, unlike mostly in the World Cup, he competed in both mogul slopes. In the individual, he finished 13th, in the parallel race 17th. A little later, he achieved a first top ten placement in the rather seldom driven parallel discipline in Madarao with ninth place and repeated this almost an hour later in Voss . At the start of the next season he won a parallel race in the European Cup in Kaprun . In 2005 , Stark played his third world championships in Ruka and was 31st in the individual and 17th in the parallel competition. In January 2006 , he finished eighth in Madonna di Campiglio , his best career result in the World Cup, which he only achieved once at the end of the 2007 season in Voss. The climax of the career was the participation at the 2006 Olympic Games of Turin , where he finished 15th Place. The last international championship was the 2007 World Championships in Madonna di Campiglio. In the individual competition, Stark placed ninth among the top ten, in the parallel competition he was 17th. After that, the international appearances became less frequent. In January 2010 he contested his last World Cup race in Calgary . He contested a total of 62 races in the World Cup, making it into the points 20 times and making it into the top ten five times. Nationally he won several German championships.
