Christoph von den Driesch

Christoph von den Driesch (born November 19, 1973 in Heinsberg ) is a German local politician ( CDU ). He is the full-time mayor of Herzogenrath in the urban region of Aachen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

education

Von den Driesch graduated from high school in Heinsberg on June 17, 1993. From 1993 to 1998 he studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster law . On April 8, 1998, he passed his first state examination in law at the Judicial Examination Office of the Higher Regional Court in Hamm . In 1998/99 von den Driesch completed additional training in commercial legal protection . He completed his time as a trainee lawyer from September 1999 to October 2001 in the district of the Cologne Higher Regional Court . In 2001 he studied administrative sciences at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer with a certificate. The second state examination in law followed on October 18, 2001 at the State Judicial Examination Office of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf . Since 1995 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Winfridia (Breslau) Münster .

Professional career

The professional career began with the position as legal and social department of the city of Baesweiler for one year (2002 to 2003). From 2003 to 2005 he was the city councilor for citizens and education as well as urban development and from 2005 to 2008 first councilor in the same city, department head for citizen services, youth and education. From May 2005 to February 2008 von den Driesch held office alternately each year as managing director or deputy of the Eurode association .

Christoph von den Driesch has been mayor of Herzogenrath since February 24, 2008. He was directly elected. The re-election took place on January 14, 2014 . He is active in numerous clubs and associations.
