Christopher Glancy

Christopher Glancy CSV (born April 10, 1960 in Moline ) is auxiliary bishop in Belize City-Belmopan .

Life

Christopher Glancy studied sociology at Loyola University Chicago . In 1979 he joined the order of the Viatorists . He made his temporary vows on July 16, 1983, and made solemn profession on July 13, 1986 . On April 17, 1993 he was ordained a priest . He was a chaplain in Kankakee and from 1998 to 2002 in Corozal , Belize. He then worked in the parish ministry in Chicago.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 18, 2012 auxiliary bishop in Belize City-Belmopan and titular bishop of Absa Salla . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in El Salvador and Belize , Luigi Pezzuto , on May 5th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Dorick McGowan Wright , Bishop of Belize City-Belmopan, and Jacques Berthelet CSV, Former Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil .
