Christopher O'Neill

Christopher Paul O'Neill (born June 27, 1974 in London ) is a British-American businessman.

Life

He has been with Princess Madeleine of Sweden , the youngest daughter of King Carl XVI , since June 8, 2013 . Gustaf of Sweden and number seven in the Swedish line of succession , married. The wedding took place in the palace church of the royal palace in Stockholm and was broadcast on many television stations. Their daughter Leonore Lilian Maria was born on February 20, 2014 in New York City .

On December 19, the Swedish court announced another pregnancy. On June 15, 2015, the couple became parents of a son named Nicolas Paul Gustaf . Adrienne of Sweden was born on March 9, 2018 , making her the third child of Christopher and his wife Princess Madeleine of Sweden . In August 2018, the Court announced that the O'Neills family was moving from London to Florida until further notice for professional reasons.

status

In contrast to the spouses of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl Philip , O'Neill belongs to the royal family, but does not count as a member of the court, as he refused both the Swedish naturalization and the elevation into the Swedish aristocracy for professional reasons. The titles Prince of Sweden, Duke of Gästrikland and Hälsingland were intended for him. Accordingly, he does not have any official social engagement in the name of the royal family and does not benefit from tax payments by the Swedish people to the royal court.
