Christopher Smith (film director)

Christopher Smith (* 1970 in Bristol , England ) is a British film director and screenwriter.

In 2004 he directed the horror film Creep, his first feature film, for which he wrote the script. Previously, in 1997 and 1998 each had made a short film. In 2006 he shot Severance, his second film in the horror genre, but this time peppered with black humor. For this he was awarded the audience award in the category Best Film at the 2007 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival .

In 2009 he directed Triangle - Fear Comes in Waves , a film drama and mystery thriller. The following year he returned to the horror genre with Black Death , with the film set in the Middle Ages. For the first time he was not also involved as a screenwriter in this production.

In 2012 the two-part television production The Lost Labyrinth was created under his direction .
