Chthonios (division)
Chthonios ( Greek Χθόνιος ) is one of the five divisions in Greek mythology .
Like his brothers, it originated from a dragon tooth sown by Kadmos . All the brothers, called divisions or "sown men", fought against each other and only five survived, including Chthonios, who became one of the ancestors of the Thebans . He was the father of the Theban kings Lycus and Nykteus .
