Kyoung-Mi Chu (born June 12, 1986 ) is a South Korean biathlete .

Kyoung-Mi Chu from Pyeongchang County has been biathlon since 1999 and is trained by Yongseon Shin. The athlete from Gangwon-do made her international debut in 2005 in races at the start of the 2005/06 season of the European Biathlon Cup in Obertilliach . She did not finish her first individual and did not compete in the following sprint. Only a week later she was able to finish her first race in the same place and was Sprint 38. At the start of the 2006/07 season , Chu started in Östersund in the Biathlon World Cup and was 84th in the individual. During the season she was used at almost all World Cup stations and achieved her best results in the World Cup with 71st place in the sprint in Lahti and 16th place in the relay. The high point was the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz , where the South Korean competed individually and finished 86th. In the following season Chu was hardly used internationally, only for the 2008/09 season she returned firmly to the South Korean national team. Apart from a 15th place with the relay in Ruhpolding , where South Korea was able to leave three other seasons behind, she could not achieve any improvements in performance. Nevertheless, she was nominated for the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in her native Pyeongchang , where Chu was used in three races. In the singles she ran to 91st place, in the sprint she was 104th and with the relay 17th of 24 teams.
