Chuck Low
Charles "Chuck" Low (born December 1, 1937 or July 21, 1928 in New York City , † September 18, 2017 in Allendale , New Jersey ) was an American actor .
Born to a Russian mother and an Austro-Polish father, he played his best-known role as Morris "Morrie" Kessler in Martin Scorsese's film Goodfellas (1990). The character of Morrie is a tragic petty boy whose character is based on Martin Krugman. Before that, he had portrayed mostly shady characters in other Robert de Niro films. Like many other Goodfellas actors, he also played in the series The Sopranos - here in a supporting role as an Orthodox Jew. Low once worked as Robert De Niro's real estate advisor .
