Churhaus Saxony

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Churhaus Sachsen (also: Kurhaus Sachsen Stolln ) was a treasure trove in the Johanngeorgenstadt mountain area in the Saxon Ore Mountains .

location

Several pits were operated on the Auersberg to excavate immediately adjacent deposits . This also included in the 1748 Eibenstocker chronicle of John Paul Oettel mentioned Churchill House Saxon treasure trove . Here was tin mined.

The tin mine was consolidated with the Gottes Segen Fundgrube between 1776 and 1777 and belonged to the Großzeche Fundgrube from 1779 , which was then called Großzeche including the Kurhaus Sachsen Stolln . In 1832 the operation of the treasure trove came to a complete standstill.

There were often arguments with the miners of the neighboring Sankt Johannis Fundgrube , the most important mine on the Auersberg. So the 20 Johanniser drove the only seven strong Churhaus people out of their shaft by force and thus prevented the breakthrough they had planned to the Johannis treasure trove.
