The Smrečiner Tower ( Polish Ciemnosmreczyńska Turnia ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with 2142 m. above sea level It is located on the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains on the Polish- Slovakian border in the Mengsdorfer Spitzen massif .
Location and surroundings
Below the summit of the lake is Meerauge in the valley fish valley ( Dolina Rybiego Potoku ). The mountain is located near the Mönch ( Mnich ) and Hinterer Mönch ( Zadni Mnich ) peaks , from which it is separated by the Hinteren Smrečiner Scharte ( Ciemnosmreczyńska Przełączka ).
etymology
The Polish name Ciemnosmreczyńska Turnia can be translated as Ciemnosmreczyński Tower .

tourism
The summit is popular with climbers. The Schronisko PTTK nad Morskim Okiem mountain hut is a suitable starting point for an ascent . There is no marked hiking trail to the top.
