The Meeraughütte ( pl. Schronisko PTTK nad Morskim Okiem ) is located at an altitude of 1410 meters in Poland in the High Tatras in the Dolina Rybiego Potoku valley on a glacier moraine above the Meerauge mountain lake . The area belongs to the Bukowina Tatrzańska commune .
history
The first hut was mentioned as early as 1823. After a fire it was rebuilt in 1874 by the Tatra Society. The current hut dates from 1908. It was named after Stanisław Staszic . The hut has been in the Tatra National Park since 1954 . It is owned by the PTTK .
