The Hinzenseeturm is located in the main ridge of the Tatras , in the midst of the ox back . Neighboring peaks are the Ochsenrückenturm ( Wołowa Turnia ), from which it is separated by the Grosse Ochsenrückenscharte ( Wielka Wołowa Szczerbina ) pass , and the Eastern Mengsdorf Peak, separated from it by the Mengsdorfer Scharte .
etymology
The name Hinzenseeturm comes from the fact that the Dolina Hińczowa (German: Hinzenseekessel) valley with the lake of the same name is not far from the mountain .
tourism
The Hinzenseeturm is not on any marked hiking trail. However, it is accessible to climbers with a permit from the administration of one of the national parks . The shelters Schronisko PTTK nad Morskim Okiem and Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie Roztoki are suitable starting points for an ascent .
