The Chałubiński-Koppe ( Polish Kopa nad Wrotami ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with 2075 m. above sea level It is located on the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains on the Polish- Slovakian border in the Mengsdorfer Spitzen massif .
Location and surroundings
Below the summit of the lake is Meerauge in the valley fish valley ( Dolina Rybiego Potoku ). The Rear Smrečiner Scharte separates it from the Smreciner Tower ( Ciemnosmreczyńska Turnia ) and the Chałubiński Tor mountain pass separates it from the summit of the Liptauer Grenzberg ( Szpiglasowy Wierch ).
etymology
The Polish name Kopa nad Wrotami can be translated as Koppe over the gate .

tourism
The summit is popular with climbers. The Schronisko PTTK nad Morskim Okiem mountain hut is a suitable starting point for an ascent . There is no marked hiking trail to the top. Below the summit is the Wrota Chałubińskiego mountain pass , to which a marked hiking trail leads from the Ceprostrada .
