Cismon del Grappa is a fraction of the northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) Valbrenta in the province of Vicenza in Veneto .
geography
The place is located about 43 kilometers north-northeast of Vicenza on the Brenta River on the orographic left side of the valley in the Brenta Canal, as the southern continuation of the Valsugana is called. At Cismon del Grappa the Torrente Cismon flows into the Brenta. North of Cismon are the ruins of the former road block Forte Tombion, built in the 19th century .
history
Cismon del Grappa was an independent municipality until January 30, 2019 and has since formed the new municipality of Valbrenta with the also dissolved municipalities of Campolongo sul Brenta , San Nazario and Valstagna . The three fractions still belonged to the former municipality : Primolano, Corlo and Fastro.
Parish partnership
Cismon del Grappa has had an intra-Italian partnership with the municipality of Giarre in the metropolitan city of Catania since 1969 .
traffic
Strada Statale 47 della Valsugana runs through the parliamentary group from Padua to Trento . On the Trento – Venice railway line there is a train station in the main town and in the district of Primolano .
