Ciudad Valles is a city with approx. 140,000 inhabitants and the capital of the municipality of the same name (municipio) with approx. 185,000 inhabitants in the east of the Mexican state of San Luis Postosí . Ciudad Valles is the seat of a diocese of the Catholic Church and a branch of the University of San Luis Potosí.

Location and climate

The city of Ciudad Valles is located in the coastal region of La Huasteca at an average height of approx. 85  m .
