Clara Bryant

Clara Bryant (born February 7, 1985 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American lawyer and former actress .

life and career

Bryant, born in California in 1985, had her first appearance at the age of eight when she played a street child in the opera La Bohème . The pupil had her first appearance in the film and television business when she was around 15 years old in an episode of the television series Chicago Soul , which is also known under the name Gabriel's Fire . In the same year she made another short appearance in an episode of Everything totally normal - The picture book family , before she took on her first and sometimes only leading role in a series in 1992. She played the character Annie MacGregor in the short-lived sitcom Billy . Other guest appearances followed in an episode of Roseanne in 1992 and in an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993 , where she slipped into the role of Chandra . The costume she wore in this single episode was sold around 14 years later on Ebay at an auction for “It's A Wrap! sale and auction ”group for exactly $ 227.50 .

After it was mainly used in television series from the beginning of the 1990s, it was increasingly used in film productions from the mid-1990s. Her actual film debut was in the 1994 film Danielle Steel - Only Once in a Lifetime , where she only appeared in a minor guest role. In the same year another film appearance followed in Leslie's Folly , a roughly 30-minute short film in which, however, she already played a far more important role. After a brief abstinence from professional acting, she returned to the screen in 1997 with a leading role in The Secret of the Mummy . For her role as Amy in the internationally broadcast film, she and her two actors Mario Yedidia and Adam Wylie received a nomination for the Young Artist Award in the category "Best Performance in a TV Movie or Feature Film - Young Ensemble".

Two years later she was seen again in an essential role when she took on the supporting role of Dafi in the Italian-US co-production L'amante perduto . In 2001 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress" for her achievements in film . After that she had to be almost another three years before she returned to the screen, although from 2002 she was active in several projects. Among other things, she was seen in the film A Day with My Brother alongside the aspiring Shia LaBeouf in a leading role, for which she also won a Young Artist Award in 2003 in the category “Best Performance in a TV Movie, Mini-Series or Special - Leading” Young Actress ”. For her role as Trudy "Tru" Walker , Bryant was even scheduled for an Emmy , but ultimately received no nomination.

She was able to make another film appearance in Due East when she starred in the leading / supporting role of Mary Faith Rapple , before she made it into the cast of Buffy the same year , where she was in seven until 2003 different episodes when Molly , a potential vampire slayer, was seen.
