Clas rafter

Clas Sparre (born June 5, 1898 in Finland , † March 9, 1948 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish count, military aviator and industrial manager .

Count Clas Eric Sparre was the second son of the painter and graphic artist Louis Sparre (1863–1964) and his wife Eva Mannerheim (1870–1958), a sister of Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim .

Sparre grew up in his mother's Finnish homeland and in 1918 participated as a volunteer fighter pilot in the Finnish civil war on the side of the "whites". From 1933 he was head of the Central Flight Workshop (CFV) in Västerås and in 1937 became second degree flight director. Between 1937 and 1943 he was chief engineer and assistant to the head of Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget (SAAB) and managed the plant in Trollhättan . Then he returned to the Air Force .

Sparre was married from 1927 to 1946 to Anna , a daughter of Theodor Adelswärd and from 1948 to Eva Rythén.
