Claude Lecomte

Claude Lecomte (born October 30, 1931 , † November 26, 2008 ) was a French cameraman whose work is closely linked to the work of the director Michel Devilles .

Live and act

As a teenager, Lecomte received photo and camera technology training right after the war and has been a camera assistant since 1950 at the latest. His teachers include Jean Bourgoin and Roger Fellous . In this function he remained active for the next four years and was involved in Jacques Tati's masterpiece Mein Unkel as a camera assistant in 1956/57 . In 1958 he was brought in by the debut director of the same age, Deville, and had Lecomte photograph the majority of his films until the mid-1980s. In 1969/70 Claude Lecomte was behind the camera in two late films by Brigitte Bardot , and in the early 1980s he was also hired for some English-language productions. In 1993 he retired from the film business, after which his track is lost.
