Claude Roger Nigon (born December 28, 1928 in Basel , Switzerland ; † January 30, 1994 there ) was a French sword fencer .
successes
Claude Nigon was vice world champion with the team in Monte Carlo in 1950 and in Rome in 1955 . He also won bronze with her in 1954 in Luxembourg . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1952 he was eliminated in Helsinki in both individual and team competitions in the quarter-finals. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 he reached the final round with the French team, which they finished in third place behind Italy and Hungary and in front of the British team. Together with Yves Dreyfus , Daniel Dagallier , Armand Mouyal and René Queyroux , Nigon received the bronze medal.
